Charisma
Carpenter, who was born on July 23rd, 1970 was an American actor. Cordelia
Chase was a character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural thriller
series (1997-1999) as well as the spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She also
appeared in Charmed (2004) and Kendall Casablanca's (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell
(2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012) Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada), the
daughter of Christine Carpenter who is an employee of a bird sanctuary as well
as Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. Carpenter has Spanish, French, and German
origin (from her maternal grandfather). Carpenter was a student at Bishop
Gorman High School located in Las Vegas. She was also a part of a singing and
dance group that was a part of the Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter relocated with
her family to Rosario Beach in Baja California, Mexico, at age fifteen. She was
a student at Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative
and Performing Arts. Carpenter was a frequent traveler throughout Europe
following her graduation. Carpenter returned to San Diego in 1991 and was
employed as an aerobics instructor as well as a videostore clerk as well as a
property manager. She also was a cheerleader with San Diego Chargers football
in 1991. She relocated to Los Angeles in 1992. In 1991, Henry Hubbard Jr.
assaulted her and two male acquaintances as they were swimming in San Diego. He
was an ex- San Diego cop and serial rapist who attempted to subdue the group
with a gunpoint. Her friends as well as Hubbard were shot in the fight. Hubbard
fled the scene and her two friends were able to escape. Hubbard was found
guilty and sentenced to 56 years prison for a string of rapes and thefts.
Carpenter grabbed Hubbard's flashlight an official police flashlight, off the
shore. The flashlight was an important element of evidence used against
Hubbard.
