Ayelet Zurer

Ayelet Zurer, one of Israel's most well-known actresses is a special lady. Her birthplace is in Tel Aviv, and first caught the attention of Hollywood when she was cast by Steven Spielberg in her first English-speaking part, playing Eric Bana's character's wife in the Oscar(r) nominated film Munich (2005). After arriving in the United States, Zurer has starred in Studio films such as Sony Pictures' Vantage Point featuring Dennis Quaid and William Hurt, Samuel Goldwyn's Fugitive Pieces opposite Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader's Adam Resurrected in the role of Jeff Goldblum and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons, opposite Tom Hanks, Darling Companion, an ensemble Lawrence Kasdan cast that includes Diane Keaton, Kevin Kline and Warner Bros. Man Of Steel with Russell Crow. Ewan McGregor shot Rodrigo Garcia, Last Days in the Desert. She also was waiting for the release of The Last Knights, a film by Kazuaki Kiriya. She is starring alongside Clive Owen. Recently, she received the Gold Nymph Award as Outstanding actor in the Drama Series at the 54th Festival of Television of Monte-Carlo. The award was given for her role on "Hostages". Ayelet received nominations for the Israeli Film and Television Academy Award in recognition of her part in Nina's Tragedies. Ayelet also received nominations for her performance in the films Only Dogs Run Free and The Dybuk from Holy Apple Field, Desperado and Rutenberg. Zurer was the winner of the Haifa International Film Festival critic prize and received a star on Haifa’s "film boulevard" for her local and international achievements. Zurer was also honored with the Israeli Television Academy Award for her role in "In Treatment" which is a renowned international television show that has been made available for American TV by HBO. She was also nominated in the category of appropriateness in 2014's best drama "Shtisel", and was awarded the best actress in drama for her performance as a brilliant surgeon who is facing an existential dilemma in Hostages. The show was licensed to BBC4 & Canal Plus and the American ABC. She is the "face " of one of Israel's leading women's fashion companies- Golbary. She is a producer and writer. Ayelet has been working on number of her own projects in Israel as well as the US, expressing desire to collaborate internationally with directors from all over the world, believing in joining unknown directors/writers, as well as famous ones.
