Alyson Lee Hannigan

Alyson Lee Hannigan was born on 24 March 1974. Hannigan is an American host and actor on television. Her credits include Willow Rosenberg (1997-2003) in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lily Aldrin (2005-2014), for which she won an People's Choice Award in 2009 and Michelle Flaherty (1999-2012). Hannigan hosts Penn Teller: Fool Us since 2016. Teller: The Fool Us since 2016. Hannigan is also voiced by Claire Clancy, the animated character from Fancy Nancy (2018-2018). Hannigan is the only child of Emilie (Posner) Haas (a real estate agent) and Alan Hannigan (a Teamsters worker). Hannigan's mom is Jewish and her father is Irish. At age four, Hannigan began appearing in commercials. She moved to Hollywood with her mother when she was 11 years old. In Santa Barbara, her father was a casting agent. She auditioned. Following high school, she attended California State University Northridge. In Northridge she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, and she earned a psychology diploma. Hannigan was first seen in the 1988 film My Stepmother Is an Alien. Seth Green was one of her co-stars. Later, he was her co-star on Buffy. Her first TV character came in 1989 in which she was cast as an actress in the ABC sitcom Free Spirit. Hannigan was her How I Met Your Mother actor, was an 18-year-old when Hannigan became a babysitter to the kids of Bob Saget. Hannigan was later chosen to play Willow Rosenberg in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's best-friend Buffy Summers. In 1997, Hannigan received the national attention. She also took care of Bob Saget's children on How I Met Your Mom. Angel requested that she play Willow's role for a few episodes.
