Rita Ora, a British singer-songwriter. Rita Sahatciu Ora was born in 1990 in Pristina (Kosovo) to Vera (Bajraktari), and Besnik Sahatciu. Besim Sahatciu is the granddaughter of her mother. At the age of one, her family made the decision to relocate to England. She was born in West London. She attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court. After that she graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School followed by St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She began singing at a young stage of her life. In 2004, she appeared in the British film Spivs. The film featured her audition for Eurovision: Your Country requires You the British participant in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. However she decided to withdraw from the contest after just a few shows because she did not feel like she was ready. Ora's debut music release came in 2007, when she appeared on Craig David's song "Awkward" and then in 2008 on "Where is Your Love" with Tinchy Stryder. She also appeared in the music videos. Ora began singing in bars throughout London. A few days after, Ora flew to New York to meet Jay-Z, an A&R informed Roc Nation about Ora. Ora was featured in Jay-Z's 2009 video of "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z saw Ora and shrewdly signed her to Roc Nation. She was featured in a commercial featuring Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. She started singing from the same pub where her father, Besnik, was a pub owner. Counts Gwen Stefani as a major influence in terms of demeanor, and No Doubt's "Don't Speak" (1996) is among her top songs.Her video from 2016 for Tezenis, The Silk Code, is the title of a novel which has won the Locus Award for Best First Science Fiction Novel in 1999.She was considered for the role of Iris West in Justice League (2017) before Kiersey Cymons was cast. Kate Moss and Ed Sheeran are close friends.
