2 Chainz Biography

Tauheed Epps is an American rapper and hip-hop artist better known by the name of 2 Chainz. Georgia born, he founded the hip hop duo Playaz Circle together with a high school friend. Their debut album, 'Supply and Demand,' was not a huge success. Epps released the album 'Based On the T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It reached the top spot on the US Billboard 200 and was an enormous success. The album sold 147,000 copies in its first week itself! Since the album's release it was impossible to go back. He became famous as one of the most well-known hip-hop artists. He has been honored with six Grammy awards, and has been awarded one for his hit track "No Problem". After he was found in possession of marijuana and promethazine and was arrested on board a plane leaving Los Angeles International Airport in 2013. However, his encounters in the legal system haven't impacted his popularity. His latest studio albumcalled "Pretty Girls Like Trap music', was released in June of 2017. Based on the T.R.U. Story, 2 Chainz's first studio album, is his first major release and also his biggest commercially successful. The album was an enormous success and reached the top spot on the US Billboard 200. The album was also sold out within a few weeks. The album sold 623,000 copies during the period of the year. It was nominated for the Grammy Award in the category of Best Rap Album' at the 55th Grammy Awards. There were mixed reviews. 2 Chainz married Kesha Wade in 2013. The couple has three children, Heaven, Harmony, and Halo. He has a very successful career, but he is also known for his mistakes with the law. He has been arrested multiple times for drug possession.
